Where to go to file a police report for a car accident after the fact?

I realize now I was stupid for not calling the cops, but I was pretty shaken up and not thinking clearly. Thankfully it a fairly minor accident. Where do I have to go to file a police report the next day?

My insurance is telling me they do not require it but it’s always a good idea to have one.
