Houston family court question

Hi guys,

My wife filed feb 2024 and gave me one offer and refuses to answer my counters. My salary is decent but we have five children and Jewish school tuitions.

My lawyer keeps scaring me that court can screw me and I have a mediation coming up.

Is anyone familiar with what is likely to happen? Can I push for 50/50 split and also not get screwed for the full spousal support (5000 a month for up to five years due to our marriage length) and 4500 (starting September) a month for the kids.

I was in shock when we did voluntary orders and we were doing a collaborative divorce, but she hasn’t even engaged with me at all and is just getting a nice amount of money that I can no longer afford 10k and I’m scared.

We have credit card debt together and I need to also figure out a way to pay that off.
