Meet Mignon Thomas

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mignon Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mignon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was truly a passion and vision to help others make connections and clear clutter from their homes. I am originally born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. My upbringing and background have impacted who I am today because of my resilience and determination. When I was a little girl, living from house to house and in piles of clutter, I knew at an incredibly young age I needed and wanted to be in a clear and free space and if I could find that clear and free space it would ultimately help others as well. Moving to Houston has also impacted my life and where I became a butterfly with wings to soar in taking that step to make a difference for families. For everything has it’s own creative order and that is where I step inside a home for families helping them see a great home space reward.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is “The Clear Clutter Connection”, here at Clear Clutter Connection we are set apart by using creative organization styles to help heal homes. Our creative style focuses on three areas of the home: decluttering, cleaning, and organizing. We help free spaces and clutter in all areas of the lives of those who are seeking to maximize their home for abundant living spaces. There are two key principles of time and order. To be in a place of time and order is where you make a clear connection to freedom. It all begins with having a positive perspective to making connections in which you take that first step to a home clutter free and clear!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend visiting would be a treat and some much-needed ladies time since we are now living in two different states and have not seen each other in two years. A week -long trip would consist of Sunday to Saturday filled with lots of relaxation and eating. Sunday we would visit our place of worship. I believe God places people in our lives at the right time and moment and our God has been so incredibly gracious to us every day. We would attend church giving God honor and glory. After church service it would be a deciding factor of a nap or a late lunch. We would probably have a smoothie snack, nap, and a pick-up dinner from Luby’s. Monday my friend and I would start our day with an hour exercise walk then have some breakfast at The First Watch and then take a stroll to the Art Museum, then after enjoying some Chicken Salad Chick. Tuesday we would have our morning hour walk then schedule spa day one services, pedicures, manicures, eyebrow treatments having some Chicken Pho for lunch with Smoothie King as a light dinner. Wednesday we would have our morning walk then schedule spa day two services, 90-minute-deep tissue massages and full one-hour facial with The Woodhouse Day Spa. After Wednesday’s spa day we would nap and ordering some Chipotle. Thursday we would have our morning walk then Painting with a Twist, lunch at Juicy Crab and The Rice Box for dinner. Friday we would have our morning walk and then would refresh our hair styles at Roq’Mo Hair Salon for some deep conditioning hair treatments with styling. Saturday on ending our week- long trip by sleeping in late at a Marriot Hotel Suite enjoying a staycation day laying around watching movies and making our five year plans together.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In this journey called life it is most important that we help to encourage leaving a legacy of passion and inspiration to those who we love. I am thankful to God for the vision to help someone else and I dedicate this Shoutout to my children Kevin and Kamrin who are my motivation and inspiration, it is through them in which my light shines.
