At end of difficult 2020, Houston sees first positive retail absorption, report says
Houston has seen its first positive retail absorption in two quarters, according to a report from the Houston branch of Los Angeles-based CBRE.
That growth is mainly attributed to 74% of fourth-quarter deliveries being leased by the end of the period. As a response, Houston saw occupancy increase by 20 basis points.
Through 2020, Houston saw 595,312 square feet of retail net absorption and delivered over 3 million square feet of construction. For Q4, total retail real estate vacancy was 6.8%…
