After a state prison commission questioned Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on jail standards and how they've harmed inmates, he was confronted by the families of people who have died in custody.

Family members of Alexis Cardenas, Jaleen Anderson, Evan Lee and Erik Carlson gathered around Gonzalez inside the William P. Clements Building in Austin after the sheriff attended a Texas Commission on Jail Standards meeting regarding the jail's non-compliance with minimum state standards.
