A place to watch the Sunrise?

Recently moved to Spring, Texas, and am having trouble finding a place to watch the sun rise in the mornings. The horizon almost always seems to be blocked by trees or other obstructions.

A natural area—with grass or dirt—and a good vantage point of the horizon would make for the best spot.

Added bonus if it’s in Spring Texas, but I would drive up to thirty minutes, if it meets the aforementioned criteria.
