365 Houston-area jobs affected by closure of AmerisourceBergen’s compounding pharmacy business
AmerisourceBergen Corp. is shutting down its compounding pharmacy business, Illinois-based PharMEDium, including a location in the Houston area.
The PharMEDium Healthcare Corp. facility at 12620 W. Airport Blvd. in Sugar Land will be closed, affecting about 365 employees, the company told the Texas Workforce Commission. The layoffs will occur over a period of time between April 20 and Sept. 30, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act letter sent to the TWC.
