30+ DINKy community in Houston to rent in

I'm looking to rent an apartment in Houston (I work downtown), and I'm now too old for midtown and too childless for the burbs.

I was hoping people here can offer up some suggestions on places to rent where I might find more people that share my kind of life (low-key enjoyment of arts and culture, maybe parks, night life not so important but a beer garden… You get the idea)
