3 day vacation ideas to escape this heat

Hi, my wife (35F) and I (35F) luckily got 3 days of leave next week from (Aug 22) Wednesday to the end of the week. We were hoping to use 3 days for a quick holiday to be able to go for some hikes but also escape the Texan heat.

Tried booking Yellowstone, but between flights and hotel was an absurd +$3k.

Hoping to leverage the experience of this sub for a feasible vacay idea. Thanks!
