25M looking for a career change into Tech & WFH.. where do I start in Houston?
I’m a 25M who has been working as a sales manager for 2 years in Houston.
I like my job, but I don’t have the passion for sales I once thought I did. I don’t like answering calls at night or the weekends from clients, I don’t like the stress. I want my life back, and this job has blurred the lines between my personal and work life.
I’m looking for a job that pays reasonably well (50k-60k) with remote work as a possibility. Something on a computer, where I can work and get my tasks done.
I keep seeing people tell me “get into tech” but I have no clue where to start. Like what positions should I look for? What licenses/certificates do I need? What are companies that are looking to hir?
I really rather not go back to university, as that cost me a pretty penny. I don’t mind taking a few classes to get certifications, licenses, etc whatever is needed to get an entry level job in the Tech field. I’m just a complete newbie when it comes to this and wanted to ask those of you in Houston in this field, where do I start? What do I do?
Indeed doesn’t really have any good openings available, and I’m looking to switch jobs within the next 3 months if possible
