22 YO working near Galleria. Cheap cost-of-living with other young people?

I’m graduating Spring 2023 as a 22 YO working in IT near the Galleria area. I want a good commute (so far I’ve seen many great areas with low commutes to here), a somewhat social area (would love a more Western feel than a club/party all night feel), and safe with no flooding trouble. Looking to spend $1500/month as well. I honestly like Uptown, but it seems expensive. Recommendations?

To clarify, I’ve seen many posts of young professionals asking this, but some of these areas seem to cost an arm and a leg to live there after you pay your rent for the month which is not ideal for me. I do understand it though, just looking for the best option.
