Read MoreI’m curious what people would think of the strategy of waiting until 13 to take a QB, and taking one of the two top pass rushers at 2nd. As a thought experiment, if you could guarantee Anthony Richardson is still available at 13, would you prefer to walk out of the draft with Anderson/Carter and Richardson? Or would you prefer to come away with Young/Stroud and maybe a defensive or OL prospect at 13?
Obviously there is a risk to waiting in that all 4 of the top QBs could be gone by then. I just thought it’d be interesting to set that aside and consider the possibility. Personally I’d prefer giving Ryans an elite talent to use and let the D carry us, and hope we can get a raw physical talent at QB develop they way guys like Jackson, Allen, and Hurts have recently. What are your thoughts?

Read MoreMy Sergeant Major appointed me one of the leaders in charge of our dining out ball, and expects 4000 soldiers and their families in attendance. Other than NRG, George R Brown, or the Sugar Land Convention Center, are there any venues in Houston proper or up to one hour’s drive outside of Houston that would accommodate that amount of people? Needs to be indoors because it’s slated for May of 2024, and well, rain. Sit down banquet style dinner with enough space at the front and down the middle for pageantry. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I am a CPT in a BDE for those of you who know. I have barely enough sway to manage expectations to those I report to, and no decision making power regarding end results. I’m just trying to make this mandatory fun as cool as possible for our troops and memorable for the Officers involved in the change of command portion.
