Hey there, Houston!

I’m unexpectedly spending the day/night in your city after my flights were bungled by United. I’m staying by the airport but hoping someone can give a recommendation for some food to snag (or get delivered) and/or chill place to hang out and grab a drink somewhere accessible by ride share. Didn’t expect a bustling social scene right by the terminal and I was correct. Cost isn’t a huge issue but trying to keep the night under $120 with transportation.

Early 30s female and I place a premium on safety when traveling solo so nothing crazy out of the way. Just feel like I’m going to get really really bored in my room all day and would rather get my vacation started. Likes: dogs, wine, cocktails, card games, botanical gardens, movies, etc. Not a live laugh lover if that helps give some context to a basic Midwestern gal. Happy to sip on a drink, people watch, and do crosswords.
