2023 Tea Blending Championship

I found out yesterday that Path of Tea decided to have their Tea Blending Championship this year on Nov. 11, 2023 7pm-8pm. It was cancelled for a few years for covid. I entered it a few years ago and it was really fun. The prize is always a brand new boxed mono tea pot, it is glass and has a tea light holder base, I think they’re worth $200 or more so the prize is really nice. Basically, contestants make a blend of any of the teas/herbs they have available in the shop. For example, a tea I’ve tried there before that won is called Heaven & Earth. It is a blend of silky oolong, rose petals, and lemon balm. The winner gets to name their tea blend and it gets added to the menu. While there’s a fee to enter the contest, it is absolutely free to stop by and taste all the contestant’s teas blends as much as you need to sample for an hour until you decide to vote on your favorite. It’s all blind taste tested. Letting ya’ll know so if anyone is interested you have time to work on a recipe or come up with one on the spot hehe. Contestants have until Nov 11 at 6 pm to submit their formula for the contest.
