Long story short: my car broke down in Houston and it’s sitting in a Whataburger parking lot in a handicap parking spot (I have a handicap hangtag and I also spoke to the manager about leaving it for the next day or so.) I had to fly back out to Hattiesburg, MS and leave it so I have the keys with me. Getting it towed without the key is going to be problem. Someone in r/cars suggested that I overnight the key to a company and have them tow the car to a shop to see if it can be fixed.

Obviously I don’t know of any reputable companies in Houston. Does anyone have any ideas about who I can call to arrange this? Given that I left my car in a public spot, I need to move it ASAP and see if it can be repaired.

Unfortunate circumstances led me to have to buy a digital subscription to Chron and I remembered I needed to cancel it today before I got charged again. Do you realize how difficult it is to do this!? Not only can you not do it online, you have to call a number and practically beg them to do it for you after waiting on hold and getting transferred around a few times. Even when I told the 3rd person I wanted to cancel, not only did they not do it, it turned out they signed me up for more time! Now my inbox is flooded with chron newsletters! It’s insane the lengths you have to go to cancel that thing. Like a fucking zombie that won’t die.
