Read MoreI recently moved into an apartment on May 4 and about a week into it the AC began to have problems where the humidity would be higher than it was outside on some days, which is about 73% on most days inside the apartment. I’ve sent 2 maintenance requests where they just do a little ac unit tweaking and cleaning which has not helped, I sent another request stating that the humidity is causing mold to grow in the closet and bathroom and they still have not fixed my issue. In the latest request I included a picture of my digital hygrometer which at the time was 78% humidity. To them the “ac blowing cold, so the ac is working fine” was the solution and are not working with me, and this is only my first month here??
What can I do to maybe be able to end my lease because they are not fixing a major issue? Is there a way to get a professional to inspect my unit to prove to them something is not working properly, because they are not taking my word and are not helping me.
Thanks!

Read MoreI am from Kansas City but come in peace. I have a goal to see every baseball stadium and I am about halfway to my goal. This year in July I am going to Minute Maid Park. I did my research last year but decided to go with Pittsburgh. Last year I found a Houston brewery/restaurant/live music place that was on The Food Network (I think). Now The Food Network is usually great about tracking the places they visit on their website, but I can’t find this place again. I am remembering an eclectic menu maybe something spicey that The Food Network focused on but I might pass on that. It looked like a ton of beers and great sandwiches and sides and food truck type specialties but they had their own kitchen. Indoor and Outdoor space and if I recall correctly and it is south of downtown. I also think they had a space for bands.
I know this could not be vaguer but if you have a thought about what it might be let me know. Or give me your Houston favorite breweries, I love to visit a new brewery. Or any great meal.
Thank you!

Read MoreHi all, I’ll be an upcoming grad student at UH this fall and it’ll be my first time living in Houston! I’m looking to live off campus but I’ve been having a hard time with finding a decent apartment since most of them have heavily mixed reviews for one reason or another. I was hoping to get some resident opinions about Elle at the medical center, Villas at Hermann Park, and/or Stella at the medical center. Even opinions of the general area that they’re located would be helpful. Feel free to dm me as well, thank yall for your time!
