Unoccupied Property Insurance Query @ Houston

Hi Houstonians,

My family home (i.e. our main residence) in Missouri City is currently unoccupied & we do not want to rent it out (as it has all our things in / family home etc). I’m currently working abroad so am not able to return & live there within a reasonable time frame

I recently went to update my property insurance (i.e. vs theft, fire, water, wind) etc and was told by our insurance broker that he couldn’t find anyone to insure it for us because we were not there.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on:

a) price comparison websites for insurance?

b) any personal recommendations for specific insurers

c) what should i be paying? Roof: 26 years old, value: ~750k, on a man-made lake
