-Traded DW4 to the Commies for Chase Young(worth 2 firsts), and 2022 1st, 2nd, 4th

-traded back the Texans’ #3 with the Eagles for their 2022 15th and 19th.

1.11- Garret Wilson (WR) Ohio State. Deep WR class but Wilson seems like the most complete, versatile WR in this draft.

1.15-Nakobe Dean (LB) Georgia. In Lovie’s Tampa 2 defense, the 3 most important positions are LB, Safety and DT. Dean is perfect for this position and a top 10 overall player in this draft regardless of position.

1.19- Kenyon Green (IOL) Texas A&M. Kenyon is probably the most pro ready o lineman outside of Linderbaum but someone will go high for Linderbaum and he can only play Center (see Garrett Bradbury). Green however could play any of the interior O Line positions and can start day 1

2.37- Logan Hall (DL) U of Houston. A lot of people seem to prefer Jordan Davis because people aren’t usually that gigantic but he can’t play all 3 downs and seems to run out of steam in up tempo games. Hall is more of a 4-3 DT and can pressure up the middle where as Davis is more useful in stopping the run

2.42- Lewis Cine (S) Georgia. If the Texans don’t trade back from #3 overall, I would want them to take Kyle Hamilton. He is my #1 overall player in the draft and safety is very under valued, especially with the new trend toward Cover 2 shell. Cine is a but overlooked in this draft because of Hamilton and so many great defenders coming from the same team of Georgia. This also sets up the defensive foundation mentioned earlier of LB, DT, and S.

3.68- John Metchie III (WR) Alabamba. Another under valued player due to the other talent on his team. He was injured earlier in the season and overshadowed by Jameson Williams. Metchie solidifies a SOLID receiving corp for Mills and won’t have to play immediately giving him more time for recovery.

3.80- Breece Hall (RB) Iowa State. There are 3 RBs in the top tier and then a noticeable drop off. You could make a case here for Hall, Walker, or Spiller and I wouldn’t argue, I think it kind of comes down to preference with an honorable mention for Kyren Williams.

4.111- Alec Lindstrom (IOL) Boston College. Can play guard but likely fits better at center. Mills got demolished last year and a focus on the interior offensive line will help with the run game and allow the passing game more time for the routes to develop.

4.135- Tyreke Smith (Edge) Ohio State. Some injury issues and kind of streaky but could be developed into a good pass rusher that can rotate in with Greenard and the newly acquired Young until he develops further.

6.181- Matt Waletzko (OT) North Dakota State. A massive tackle at 6’7″ 305lbs. He will need some time to adjust to the pros but is a great project pick for the 6th round and could be ready by the time that the Texans inevitably move on from Tunsil at some point.

6.203- Zyon McCollum (CB) Sam Houston State. At 6-4, 200lbs, he likely fits better as a free safety but will see most of his work on special teams.

6.205- EJ Perry (QB) Brown University. Texans could use a backup QB and EJ went to Brown so he’s probably smart.

7.242- James Mitchell (TE) Virginia Tech. A team captain with a lot of playing time. Last year he had 26 catches for 435 yards and 4 TDs.
