Major wreck, Hempstead @ Bingle Rd., maybe 2:30 PM Sunday – Curious if anyone knows details…

Hempstead at Bingle was completely shut down this afternoon, looked like a really bad one. Nothing on the news, so I’m guessing no one died, but I’m curious if anyone knows details.

I counted 6 HPD patrol cars at the scene and more were blocking Hempstead at Clay, stopping eastbound traffic.

It occurred to me that I haven’t seen that many HPD patrol units in one place in quite a long time, if ever. Most of the on-duty units in the whole region must have been at that wreck.

A HFD pumper was just arriving as we detoured over to Sowden to head back west. Didn’t see any ambulances yet.

If I had to guess, I figure someone decided the red light didn’t apply to them and they ran into someone crossing on a fresh green.

I also thought maybe a pursuit had resulted in the crash, but if that was the case it would have been on the news by now.

Guys I just thought of another under the radar coach for the Texans to interview

I’m not going to even talk about his player career and QB accolades or how his life experiences can help both Mills as a QB and, this is a big if, can help Watson deal with his sex crimes if Watson decides to stay.

Brett Favre just helped coach high school football team to a Mississippi state championship as an Offensive Coordinator. We are talking about 6A Mississippi High school football here, cream of the crop, as far as competitive football goes in the southern state.

Brett has even talked about going pro as recently as 2017.

I’m not saying we hire him, but he is another under qualified coach we can interview and then leak how “blown away” we are by his answers.
