Read MoreHello, good folks of Houston!
Like the title says, I am international student planning to join the university of Houston for graduate school in January. I was supposed to start in fall but ended up deferring my admit for personal reasons.
I read that UH campus isn’t safe and had a lot of crime reports. I tried looking this up on Google to find more information and I can’t find a good answer. Most answers say that campus is pretty safe but just across the street is a totally different world which is pretty dangerous. I was hoping to get more info about this here. I want to know if the campus is safe overall and if the surrounding areas are indeed dangerous, can a student go about with his/her daily without having to step out of campus and into these apparently dangerous localities frequently.
Would appreciate any help on this. Thank you!
