Month: August 2021

Clinical Trials (in Houston) for Kids 6 Months – 15 Years Pfizer and Moderna, two of the makers of COVID-19 vaccines, are starting the next phase of clinical trials in children and are now recruiting pediatric patients starting at 6 months old to 15 years.

While the virus has more heavily impacted adults, to defeat the pandemic, children will also have to be immunized, which means trials are necessary to make sure vaccines are safe for them.

Before deciding whether to enroll your child in a trial, consult with your pediatrician or family physician about your child’s risk of experiencing side effects from the vaccine due to allergies or other underlying health conditions.

The Ventavia Research Group in Houston, located at 610 North Loop and Ella, is currently recruiting patients 6 months old to 15 years of age. Patients will receive either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a placebo. Interested parents can call 832-831-5349 for more information.

OP WARNING:

This is a trial of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine, that means your child may get a placebo. Therefore, you can’t assume your child is vaccinated.

This is a PSA and nothing more.

Deshaun Watson

It seems DeShaun Watson is out of sight, out of mind and honestly I think it is probably the best thing for him right now given all the lawsuits coming his way. Better to be on that Commissioner’s Exempt list this season and not play at all. But then what happens once DeShaun comes back? He has pretty much made it clear he don’t want to be in Houston playing for the Texans, so what team is the best fit for him going forward?

Or does he ever play another snap in our league, in the NFL?
