My dad lives in Houston and I’m 2000 miles away and would like to surprise him with some stuff in the mail. Probably something sweet like cookies or brownies etc. Also want to support a local business. Anyone know any places in the area that do this sort of thing?

So I’ve been noticing a pretty weird trend recently. I go on uber eats or doordash or something for a late night snack after missing dinner or so, and I see a nice french toast place. I order, get some toast, only get 2 slices instead of the 4 promised, complain, move on and forget. Fast forward a few days, I do this again but with a different place. Same thing happened. I noticed that some of the food pics were the exact same despite different names and I get curious, start googling the names of these restaurants. Nothing shows up. Not on google maps, not on google at all, only on these food delivery places. I look up the address I see on google maps, and what I find isn’t a restaurant, it’s a house. That was a month ago, and I hop on again tonight to see several new french toast places, none of the ones that showed up a month ago, and they all have the same pics and menus. What the heck is going on?
