Daily dose of Yordan (Game 19)

At bat 1: 2 pitch groundout to second

At bat 2: 3 pitch HBP

At bat 3: 4 pitch double to left.

At bat 4: 5 pitch flyout to center

Another pretty good game for Yordan. He did seem to be a bit more aggressive today, but he still displayed the elite control of the zone we all love. His 5th at bat flyout looked like a home run off the bat, and while his opposite field double was kind of a blooper, I was really encouraged by the types of pitches he was taking and the ones he was swinging at. His ability to take pitches high in the zone and make the defense pay for shifting is part of the reason he’s so deadly, and he displayed it exceptionally here on the double. Obviously while we all want him to hit home runs, what he’s doing right now should be really good to see.

Is it worth living downtown if I’ll be counter commuting to Johnson Space Centre?

I’m a recent college grad and I’m really excited to move to Houston. I have a friend who grew up there that’s told me a lot about it. Living downtown seems really interesting but I’m worried about the commute and my friend’s negative description of life downtown.

Does anybody have any advice about it? I’ve been looking at Montrose, Midtown, and Medical for downtown or Seabrook or League City for the suburbs.

Is it me or do most storms seem to happen in Fridays? Is time cyclical?

I’ve been living here since October and one stark observation I’ve made is that the vast majority of storms or rain events happen Friday afternoon to night The VAST majority. Today is obviously an example of that. But I make long distance trips every Friday and most of the rain or storms have happened on those days.

It also lines up with my personal conspiracy that we’re on a series of regular time loops where predictable events occur every so often in order to make the algorithm in which we live less of a hassle to program. BUT that’s another thread.

Can anyone confirm my suspicion?
