At bat 1: 9 Pitch strikeout swinging
At bat 2: 8 Pitch strikeout swinging
At bat 3: 4 Pitch lineout (Opposite field)
At bat 4: 1 Pitch single (Bunt beating shift!)
While it may look like another bad game for Yordan, with a 1-4 with just a bunt single to show for it, I saw a vastly different hitter from yesterday. For one, he was controlling the zone and working into deep counts, as shown by his 9 pitch and 8 pitch strikeouts. He was laying off pitches low in the zone and doing damage on pitches in his sweet spot, they just weren’t falling today. His lineout was a DEEP lineout with barely any effort, and it was opposite field too. Speaking of opposite field, his first pitch bunt single was really nice to see, it showed how he kept the defense honest and his all smiles after getting on first was really good to see. Overall while the results don’t speak yet his mechanics and body language were a lot better than yesterday, those will definitely translate into tangible results soon.

I’m visiting Houston from north Texas for the weekend, and I parked in a part time commercial loading zone (locals said it’d be alright since it’s the weekend). I got slapped with a $255 ticket. Is there anyway I can possibly dispute it/get it reduced while living in a different city? What happens if I just ignore it? Thanks a bunch. Rigjt now im strapped for money so this is a lot of money. Thanks!

Read MoreI know that Houston is a red light running shithole, and there’s no point to this post, but just wanted to vent.
Some dark-greyish-greenish prius ran a red light heading northbound on Kirby at the intersection with Inwood maybe an hour ago, as my son and I were starting to cross. And, of course, it wasn’t even the kind where they’re trying to beat the yellow or anything. I remember seeing the light for Kirby traffic turning yellow, then red. I saw all the Kirby northbound traffic slow down and stop. Then the pedestrian light turning green. Then we started crossing, and a white SUV on our left hand side was also crossing westbound. Then I hear the tires of the white SUV do a quick skid. It slowed down just enough for the Prius to cross in front of it. That’s the first I saw the Prius at all. When it was already in front of me. Then it was gone.
These people are just so fucked up. And of course there are no repercussions, no red light cameras, etc. 😐
