Hello Houston reddit!
I just bought my first house and am stressed enough with everything else that I decided to be lazy and use Energy Ogre to find my electricity plan for my new place. In the past, I’ve done the math myself and found plans using Smart Meter Texas and PowerToChoose. With the new house, I was unable to get the energy usage history so I bit the bullet and paid $10 to Energy Ogre to find me one. They signed me up for a 5 month plan that looks fine.
My question is – why would I continue to pay $10 a month to Energy Ogre? What’s stopping me from cancelling my subscription completely and then renewing 5 months from now when I need a new contract? I can’t seem to find anything on their website that tells me I can’t do this…
