Self-Promotion Saturday

Thread Purpose:

This is a chance for anyone in our sub who has a blog, podcast, video series, product to sell, or anything else related to the Texans- to have a chance to promote their work.

Generally our subreddit follows the standard Reddit Self-Promotion Guidelines, but we wanted to provide a targeted way for our community members who have passion projects and who work hard to add to the Texans experience an avenue to promote that work.

How It Works

If you have a blog post to share, an up and coming Texans news site, a YouTube film review, a Texans based Twitter account, a podcast, or whatever…. post it here!

If you don’t – just take some time to check out anything posted in this thread and give it some visibility to support the members of our sub!

Advice on Potential Future Living Situation in Houston

Hello everyone, first post here. I’m a fourth year medical student currently applying/interviewing for residency programs. I recently interviewed at Houston Methodist Hospital and found out that residents in the program have to split their time pretty much equally between the campus at Texas Medical Center and the Baytown campus. Does anyone have any recommendations about a good, safe neighborhood where I could possibly rent an apartment that would result in not-so-terrible commute times to either hospital campus? I know Houston traffic can be rough but I do really like Houston and think it would be a great place to live and practice medicine long-term so I just wanted to get some more info before making any commitments. TIA!

2016 Main Redditor here: Does anyone know what happened around METRO Station and Lone Star Saloon?

Been here 7 years facing downtown (I took the lightsaber video!!) and I’ve never seen this much police activity

Update: Grabbed my Walmart binocs, and I can clearly see that an HPD cruiser slammed into the front door of the bar!!!

I suppose that also explains the wildly elaborate police response. Still don’t know the story.
