Need help identifying a driver that saved my friend’s life

Looking for some major assistance in identifying a driver or vehicle that helped save my friend’s life a couple weeks back.

https://abc13.com/traffic/inbound-sw-fwy-lanes-reopened-after-pickup-mangled-in-crash/6425853/

For those that were in the area, you may remember this huge accident and back-up on Wednesday, September 16th. My friend was the one in the pick-up truck that was terribly damaged and resulted in him being rescued by the jaws of life. A Good Samaritan helped him by holding his lung in place, comforting and praying with him while they waited for help to arrive. If it wasn’t for this person’s help, my friend might not be alive today.

In the video, there’s a black SUV parked under the bridge. We’re working to enhance it as best as possible to learn more about the vehicle but wanted to reach out to this group first, just in case. It looks to be a Ford SUV, maybe an Expedition or Explorer. The person driving this vehicle is the one that helped save my friend’s life but didn’t leave a name, statement or the like.

I’m helping with this research on behalf of my friend’s wife and can share her contact info if someone here has good information as to this individual. I know some of this information may be sensitive, so please feel free to DM to keep it private if need be.

So if you were in this area and have details about the person, maybe through an acquaintance (or maybe it’s you) or you were in the area and might have good video of the scene, please feel free to reach out so we can work from there.

Thank you.

Edit: We know his name is Tim, but that’s it for now.

So Cal fires O’Brien, then what?

I’m not sure Cal would have the slightest idea how to navigate a rebuilding of the front office. He strikes me as a person who doesn’t want any responsibility or accountability for how the team performs ON THE FIELD. He likes the money he’s making, and I’m sure he pays himself handsomely for his “efforts”. Not much is known about this guy. If you search youtube there are a couple of interviews of him from various functions. He seems like a decent enough person but he does not strike me as someone who has any kind of exceptional ability or talents. We all know the story about Cal, he’s the only son of a billionaire. Nice gig if you can get it. I would like to help Cal navigate through these murky waters and get the organization moving in the right direction. Right now it’s stuck in second gear.

1 – Get a GM. I know Houston is not an ideal landing spot but with the right level of authority, the value of the franchise, and mcNair’s willingness to spend some money. At least he’s not a miser constantly at the floor of the cap. He’s signed off on some big contracts over the last few years so he will spend the money. I think the biggest question is what to do with Easterby. I don’t know how that guy git where he is. I’m sure he’s a nice person but does he really know what it takes to create a winning program? NE let him go so jury is out. I would think McNair would have to get rid of him as well if he wanted a GM that can rebuild it. Who would that person be?

My best candidate would be Omar Kahn – Steelers VP of football ops – native of Louisiana, has been with the Steelers for almost 20 years working closely with Colbert and drafted and signed/extended 27 Pro Bowl Players.

We need to start with a GM, who could then name a coach. Moving this thing into a winner will take some exotic thinking, not sure we have the ownership that can do that. What’s the next move should OB lose the gig?

What to smoke Wednesday

Well, we are all in a great place mentally after the first few weeks, huh? Honestly, the best time I’ve had during these early game weeks has been talking about meat smoking and such with everyone, so let’s keep it going!

First, pork butt last Sunday turned out AMAZING! I highly reccomend just doing a simple rub of salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder and paprika, its fantastic. And it was probably one of my most tedious smokes to date. The fire wouldn’t start where I wanted, was constantly tending it, and it STILL turned out great. I guess there’s a lesson in persistence there that could be applied to the Texans, but I’m gonna wait until they show me something to actually be excited about.

For this week, I’m gonna do some turkey legs. My first gameday smoke on the Thursday we played the Chiefs (f**k I want Biennemy as our coach) was turkey breast and it turned out well, but it was a little peppery. Also, I miss the renaissance fair down in Houston, so having a big ol’ Turkey leg to munch on at least gives me that feeling.
