In past years, O’Brien has always been a coach-speak nonsense guy (which, as an actual reporter myself I understand that in pressers that’s kind of what happens, you get better stuff in smaller interview settings anyway) but he’s always been attentive and energetic and agree losses he would come in fired up.

This morning he’s a man defeated. Holy s**t, he just looks exhausted. He knows he’s in over his head, and you can see it in his answers. It’s a lot of “I don’t know” and “we have to be better” but in an exasperated way.

Reminds of Kubiak in the 2-14 season.

enough is enough that Watson is the GOAT. he has so much to prove still. Physical gifts… he’s top 5. All around talent… meaning actually understanding his craft, I’d be hard pressed to say he’s top 15 right now.

our o line is bad, yea, but you know what fixes it…? presnap reads and audibles. putting people in protection. finding the quick hot route.

dw4 is relying on his athleticism rather than his brain and its a recipe for disaster. his athleticism should be a last resort.

he needs to throw the ball quicker, and get his team in position.

and for God’s sake…. will someone call a screen pass for DJ and slow the blitz down? let the dline blow our guys up, run past them, dump it over the top and let DJ run for 40 yards. maybe the defense will think twice before sending cover 0 at us 50 times a game.
