Self-Promotion Saturday

Trying out something new for this community!

Thread Purpose:

This is a chance for anyone in our sub who has a blog, podcast, video series, product to sell, or anything else related to the Texans- to have a chance to promote their work.

Generally our subreddit follows the standard Reddit Self-Promotion Guidelines, but we wanted to provide a targeted way for our community members who have passion projects and who work hard to add to the Texans experience an avenue to promote that work.

How It Works

If you have a blog post to share, an up and coming Texans news site, a YouTube film review, a Texans based Twitter account, a podcast, or whatever…. post it here!

If you don’t – just take some time to check out anything posted in this thread and give it some visibility to support the members of our sub!

Feedback:

Given this is the first iteration of this thread, we welcome any feedback you may have.

Help me identify a Houston BBQ Restaurant from 30 years ago

Some 30 years ago as a teenager I visited Houston with my parents, and I distinctly remember a BBQ restaurant we ate at. I remember that it was an well-known iconic spot (which is why we as tourists went there.)

I remember going in and the line snaking around to the right along the interior walls (which were full of Texas and cowboy memorabilia – kinda cheesy and cliche now but cool back then) and we ordered cafeteria style.

Any idea what that restaurant might have been? Is it still around? Sounds like a needle in a haystack request, but if Yelp had been around I’m sure it would be listed as a top BBQ restaurant with 1,000s of reviews from out-of-towners. That sort of spot.

Thank you.
