Novice Motorcycle Rider (Vet)

I know i know. I’ve heard and read the worst of it when it comes to opinions on riding in Houston but its a battle worth fighting. I just purchased a monster 796 with less than 5k miles for a little under 5 grand and I’ve only ever ridden for a few short days on Hawaii during my time in the Marine Corps. I have my license and have completed MSF but im still looking for tips and help when it comes to better riding habits. Im currently avoiding highways and practicing around my neighborhood (Meyerland) and was just hoping some more seasoned riders could help with recommendations on things that you used to practice when you first started riding, or even routes that are great for starting on. Also, I’ve heard weekend mornings are less congested than most days. Any and all help is welcome!!

Toll

HI Houston, hop you are doing well. I have just went thru the wrong road and ended up going thru 99 IH without a EZ tag sticker with a car that was not registered under my name. Can I get a ticket for this? submitted by /u/Auslanderr30 …

Has anyone here had success with treating their pet for cancer? Which vet? Did you go to A&M?

Horrible day. Wife took beloved Siamese to get his teeth cleaned today, and they found cancer throughout his jaw and sinus cavities. We are DEVASTATED. We have to wait for the biopsy to come back, but the vet said she is sure that, based on the abnormal cells in the sample, that it’s some kind of bone cancer, advanced enough to cause him pain when he eats.

We are thinking my wife might come back to Houston or even take him to A&M if some kind of treatment might be successful for him. Sick at the thought of putting him down.
