Rock collector shops in Houston?

I’m a rock and mineral collector and looking for good sources to add to my collection. Yes, I know how to search Google, but my experience is that the best shops are sometimes hard to find and unlisted. There’s probably a couple tucked away in the Harwin Drive import district that I don’t know about. Places like The Museum of Natural Science have some, but they are overpriced with a poor selection. The spiritual crystal and jewelry/gem shops are not the places to find these.

If you know of any good shops for rock collectors in the Houston area please share.

Will Rogers Motor Court Neon Sign

Good Morning from Tulsa, Oklahoma!

I am seeking help in finding someone that knows about a neon sign that was seen at the Houston Rodeo exhibitor section in 2019. This photo was sent to me:

This neon sign (displayed at a vendor booth; name unknown) is either a replica of an old neon sign that once stood on Tulsa’s stretch of Route 66 OR i is the original sign, which the Oklahoma Route 66 Association (my organization) has long thought destroyed when the motel was demolished in the late 1980s.

I’m curious if anyone here is familiar with this sign and perhaps knowledge of who owns it. I would certainly love to speak with them and learn more about its history in Texas. As far as we’re aware, there was not any other Will Rogers Motor Court(s) in the country.

Here’s a postcard from the original motel.

Thanks for any help anyone here can provide!
