Here’s an idea: the Texans should sign Kaepernick

A year ago, I myself would have said no way in hell but hear me out…

  1. Would help the nation heal.
  2. Would help the NFL heal.
  3. Would help dispell the O’brien is racist card.
  4. Would help dispell the Bob McNair is racist card.
  5. Even with a 3 year break he would probably be a better back up than AJ.
  6. Skill set is much closer to DW4 so less change to offense if he is needed.
  7. DW4 is completely secure in his position and wouldn’t be threatened.
  8. Might be able to run some dual QB gadget plays.

Like I said… a year ago I would probably laugh at this but in the last 10 days I have reevaluated my position on quite a few things…and this is the least of em.

I welcome y’alls feedback.

Can we start a discussion about banning trolls here on r/houston – or at least restricting posting to those who have a certain Reddit age or karma amount?

Anyone else seeing this these days?

In the past few weeks, there has been a huge uptick in the number of troll accounts, many under one day old, that are aggressive and a pain in the ass in general. Since the schools closed, there has been a huge increase in them, but with the recent Floyd protests there has been LOTS of new trolls, many with no karma at all, or negative karma, and they don’t seem to be our usual alt accounts from those that post here all the time.

The mods don’t seem to care, and some of these new trolls are really nasty – they will send abusive PM’s for hours, even days, for any little comment they don’t agree with.

I’ve noticed that r/houston does not seem to be the only sub having trouble with this, and I’m wondering what the solution might be. Or, has a Reddit just become a troll site?
