Science degree from a Christian Uni – Legit or not?

Hi Houston!

TL;DR: Are science degrees from religious universities, such as HBU or St. Thomas, viewed differently by other professionals?I could use some advice on degree programs in the area, since I am a first-gen. non-traditional student finishing my associate’s degree. I want to transfer to a bachelor’s program with the end goal of grad school in the medical field (interested in PA but am open to other careers).

My question is specifically about how potential employers view certain degrees. Although I have the goal of grad school, as a nontraditional student I am aware of how life sometimes has other plans. This will be a career change for me, and I don’t have any other family that can give advice on college, so I could really use some guidance.

Thanks for reading!

EDIT: I couldn’t find any Houston subreddits that were about general education or science professions, so please link below if you know of any. Thank you!

Prospect Park

I saw the post about spire. Prospect Park is still open, too. According to TABC’s site, they have a 51%+ license and were legally required to close on Friday at noon. They were packed last night and Friday night.

Just thought it’s a good idea to name and shame any bar or club where the owners are flagrant in endangering our community.

Where to donate old, gently used clothing in northwest Houston?

My wife and I are looking to donate older gently used clothing we no longer need to clear out the room we are converting into a nursery. Are there any places in northwest Houston (Tomball, Willowbrook, Champions area) that will accept donations and give them to people in need, free of charge to them?

I’ve heard people suggest women’s shelters before because they give the items for free to those in need, but I can’t locate any near us.
