26 years old! I’ve lived in Houston for a few years. Originally moved to Houston in high school after moving internationally for several years, then went to a private school for HS, then went to 3 different universities. Because of all the changes I’ve had a lot of difficulty maintaining many friendships long term. It seems like everyone I know has a big group of friends that they’ve known since they were kids. I worked as a ICU nurse for the past 3.5 years and made some friends at work. Now I’m in a very intense full-time graduate school program and am stuck at home doing online classes. I want to just meet some cool, high quality people. I’m open to pretty much anything! Only thing is I’m not crazy about drinking/bars etc. I enjoy a nice bottle of wine with dinner but I dislike the bar scene, clubs, etc. I just find that a lot of advice caters to guys; maybe there is some advice that might be more helpful for me?

Help! My friend found a cat stuck in a street drain. She’s called animal control, nobody answers, she called the fire department still nobody answers. She called 911 and asked who to call and they say call animal control. Does anyone have a number where someone will answer? She’s going crazy over this.
