I know Houston has them. I’m reading about them but some articles/posts are more relaxed about the risk, others are more concerned. So I thought I’d try asking locals.

I’m considering a great apartment in a wooded-area. There’s a lot of bushes and I have a young, long-haired dog. How concerned should I be? He’s on a flea/tick preventive but I read that they can hitchhike on people too.
