2 hour layover in Houston (International flight, chceked bags). Is that enough time?

I hope this is the right place to ask this question.

At the end of January I will be flying from Guatemala City to Frankfurt with a layover of 2h 13 min in Houston airport. I will arrive around 4.30pm on a Wedensday if that makes any difference. I will have a checked bag and i am not an American citizen (EU citizen).

I have heard that the airport is quite big, but I also think that since both flights are international (United) they should both be from Terminal E, right?

Do I need to worry about the time? When i booked the flights i did not anticipate that i will bring a checked bag back or I would have checked for a longer layover (i am sharing the bag with friends and due to different travel plans I ended up being the one to bring it back).

Considering getting the bag, customs and immigration I am freaking out a bit. Changing flights is not really an option as i am on the basic economy fare. Any advice on what i can do to ensure a smooth layover!
