1DayHouston event this weekend

The 1DayHouston event this weekend seems legit with high-profile musicians, legitimate corporate partners and (what seems like) a great mission.

It seemed a little odd to me though that it was unclear who or what organization is actually organizing it in Houston, besides listing the non-profit "Love Has No Limits," it seemed they were purposefully not sharing who is behind the non-profit on the 1DayHouston website.

I checked Charity Navigator and based on the EIN, the non-profit is based out of San Clemente, CA and has only been around since 2019. Here's their website. It appears they have only done one major event before, a proof-of-concept in Los Angeles with a total budget of $100,000. Also, if you look at their Facebook, it is managed out of the US and oddly, Honduras.

I'm not saying there is anything nefarious going on here, it seems like a net positive for Houston. Something about it seems odd though and IMO it sort of doesn't pass the smell test. I'd be happy to be completely wrong though…..
