Where to Eat Amazing Meals Around Houston With a Waterfront View

Though Houston is not directly on the coast, there are ample opportunities in and around the city to enjoy a meal with a waterfront view. Nicknamed Bayou City, H-Town, and its suburbs feature a plethora of dining establishments that offer a hint of coastal tranquility. With serene bayous within the city and Galveston’s shores, as well as a rich trove of lakes all around, it’s possible to enjoy the gentle rhythm of waves, the sounds of seagulls flying above, and the calming sights of a water horizon.
The now-closed Flora’s Mexican Kitchen comes off the map in this update. Newly added are Fajita Jack’s on Lake Conroe and Gaido’s, which was recognized in 2025 as an American Classic by the James Beard Awards.
